Memories of Wayne Broome
Wayne died suddenly of a heart problem several years ago. I can't remember the date. He leaves behind a wife and daughter. Rest in peace, Wayne.
Wayne was my husband for 13 1/2 years. He passed away on April 15,2005 at the age of 45, just short of his 46th birthday which was May 7. We have a daughter, Hallie Broome and she just graduated from Skiatook High School here in Skiatook, Oklahoma. I am very proud of her. She was all set to start her freshman year at Wren when we moved out here in July of 2007. We miss Piedmont but we love it out here, near my family. My dad is getting up in years so wanted to be closer to him. Wayne was a super guy and I know he never met a stranger and had more friends than we ever realized. We miss him every single day. Please feel free to write if you like. You can find me on facebook also. At the time of his death, he was working at Bargains Food Store in Pelzer, he loved his job. His job at Piggly Wiggly got cut short when the store burned to the ground in July of 2002. He loved people and missed that the most by not being in Piedmont to work anymore. He missed everyone. Today we found out (6/12/11) that Robert Browning who worked for years with Wayne at the store in Piedmont, had passed away. Very sad to lose such good friends. Wayne was my best friend and I have never met anybody who has been as close as he was to me. God Bless everyone. Thank you.
April 15,2005 Wayne was an awesome guy, great husband and father. He is missed terribly by us and his whole family and many friends. He was born May 7, 1959. God bless.
